Chicago fans eye Jordan Kyrou as a splash move, and the Chicago Blackhawks know the St. Louis Blues hold a valuable scorer with real trade weight.

Kyrou remains locked in with St. Louis through 2031 at an $8.125 million cap hit, a number that carries both certainty and cost.
The Chicago Blackhawks were recently named suitors for three higher-end trade candidates in Owen Tippett, Andrei Svechnikov, and most recently Jordan Kyrou.
Kyrou's 73-point season in 2021 and his follow-up 75-point campaign in 2022 still shape his value.
The Blues sit in a transitional phase, and conversations around roster resets continue, yet nothing suggests a discounted price. St. Louis wants talent, a term, or both, which makes every interested club tread carefully.
For Chicago, the possibility is obvious. Adding a 26-year-old winger with elite acceleration and a three-season scoring peak could fast-track the offensive support around Connor Bedard, who led the team with 61 points as a rookie.

Jordan Kyrou's interest stretches beyond the Chicago Blackhawks

Seattle appears motivated to upgrade scoring after finishing with a bottom half offense, and Kyrou's transition speed fits their rush structure. Detroit continues pushing for credibility in the Eastern playoff race, and their growing core makes them a logical bidder if St. Louis listens.
Dallas also lingers as a dangerous entrant, since their veteran core keeps their competitive window wide open. Their cap situation tightens the math, yet their scoring depth could make Kyrou a luxury they still explore.
Chicago therefore faces competition on timing as much as assets. Other teams can win sooner, and that usually appeals to players with prime years left.
The Blackhawks must decide whether the long-term cost syncs with their rebuild path.
