A new report has linked the Chicago Blackhawks organization to a 22-year-old New York Rangers forward on the trade market.

It's still early in the season, but Chicago Blackhawks fans can already see that the team is better than it was at the same time last year.
Currently, the Hawks are in the fourth spot in the Central Division, with three wins in seven games.
Even if the results haven't been there every night, Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar, and Spencer Knight are giving their team a chance to win every time they're on the ice.
Trades appear poised to happen at some point.
Many teams look poised to complete trades before the NHL Holiday Roster Freeze, including the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers.
The two teams were linked together on the market by a new article posted on Bleacher Report.

Bleacher Report Links Blackhawks And Rangers For Potential Trade

Indeed, the Chicago Blackhawks were listed among the five potential suitors for Brennan Othmann, a 22-year-old forward who's been included in many trade rumors over the past months.
According to BR, the Hawks could be interested in swapping Lukas Reichel for Othmann:
"The Blackhawks have their own young, promising forward, Lukas Reichel, who has not exactly panned out as hoped and is now on the trade block. A lot of times, when you're talking about dealing players like Reichel or Othmann, they end up getting swapped for one another because it's really the only type of move that makes sense."

Reichel is also considered a prime trade target. The 23-year-old promising forward tallied three points in four games this season and 57 points in 173 games since being drafted 17th overall by the Hawks in 2020.
As for Othmann, the Rangers' 16th overall pick in 2021 tallied two points in 25 NHL games. He's been playing in the AHL this season, tallying one point in four games so far with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
A one-for-one trade could be a great deal for both sides, with the two players eager for a fresh start.
