Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight, who was acquired from the Florida Panthers in early March, has debuted a brand new equipment look for this year, which will be his 1st full season in Chicago.

The Chicago Blackhawks decided to make a big switch in their goaltending in March, trading Petr Mrazek to the Detroit Red Wings while also acquiring goaltender Spencer Knight from the Florida Panthers in a major trade that sent Seth Jones to Florida in return.
Knight, who was once thought of as the official eventual successor to Sergei Bobrovsky in the Panthers crease, was made expendable and was deemed tradable by GM Bill Zito.
The young netminder has traditionally worn Bauer gear in his professional career, has hit the ice for a recent Bauer photo shoot wearing their latest line of gear and has shown Blackhawks fans his setup and new mask design for the upcoming year.
After being acquired from the Panthers, Knight went 5-8-2 with a 3.18 GAA and a .896 SV%.

Spencer Knight is going into his 1st full year in Chicago

Knight will aim to impress Blackhawks management in what will be his 1st full year in Chicago, which also happens to be the final year of his current contract.
In 2023, Knight signed a 3-year contract with the Panthers that had an AAV (average annual value) of $4.5 million.
Chicago's goaltending tandem this year will be Knight and Arvid Soderblom, who was recently re-signed to a new contract of his own.
Knight is only 24 and has lots of professional hockey ahead of him, and he could be the long-term answer in Chicago if things work out for him.
