Kyle Davidson of the Chicago Blackhawks addressed the media after signing starting goaltender Spencer Knight, who we'll see for at least three more years in the United Center.

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed their faith in goaltender Spencer Knight as their new starter.
They did so by Kyle Davidson signing the 24-year-old netminder to a three-year contract extension today.
Afterward, General Manager Kyle Davidson would address the media regarding the goaltender's future in Chicago.
He is another one of the building blocks of the team, who could be a future contender if all of the right pieces fall into place.
Knight would sign a $5.83 million average annual value deal, which keeps him in the Blackhawks crest to see through the rebuild, and into contention (hopefully).
General Manager Kyle Davidson's statement on Knight's future as a Blackhawk:
«After joining the team in March, Spencer quickly cemented himself as a crucial piece of our future. A talented, young goaltender, he brings athleticism, sound positioning and a calm demeanor to his game, and we're excited to watch Spencer continue to flourish in Chicago over the next four seasons,»

Spencer Knight's Performance As A Blackhawk

At the beginning of the year, Knight had a record of 12-8-1, with a 2.76 GAA, and a .906 save percentage with five shutouts in Florida.
Knight arrived in Chicago in March and cemented himself as the top goalie with his reliable play. He'd finish April with a record of 3.08 GAA and a .907 save percentage, shades better than we'd see out of Petr Mrazek or Arvid Soderblom.
His ability to stay cool under pressure and provide the kind of goaltending that delivers wins helped seal a new deal in Chicago this postseason.
The Blackhawks now have a solid foundation in the net with Spencer Knight and have a superstar in Connor Bedard.
Core pieces will continue to emerge as more prospects are promoted to the NHL, and Knight will be there to stabilize the team.
