Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins instantly become trade partners for a 59-point scoring forward

The Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson have stayed relatively quiet this postseason, but could add a potent forward from the Boston Bruins in Pavel Zacha, who could kickstart the Hawks' offense and give Bedard a true linemate to play alongside.

The Chicago Blackhawks' postseason has been relatively quiet. With $21 million in cap space, the team could afford to add more depth, but instead has held its cards close to its chest.

59-Point Zacha, A Game Changer for the Blackhawks?

Instead of letting August pass by without any major moves, they could find a new linemate for Bedard in Pavel Zacha. A forward who hasn't been considered an elite forward but played top-line minutes for the Boston Bruins, scoring 59 points in 2023-24.

Zacha had been in trade chatter recently, and with the Bruins and Blackhawks being former trade partners, this could turn into a winnable scenario for the Hawks. Zacha makes only $4.75 million against the cap space and could help course-correct the ship in 2025-26.

Zacha regressed by 12 points this season to score only 47 under a chaotic regime in Boston. But he could still find himself in a top-line role in Chicago as a playmaker.

He's been capable of playing on the same line as David Pastrnak with ease, so he's certainly capable of improving Bedard's game too.

Zacha has 628 games of NHL experience split between the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils.

The former 6th overall pick in 2015 has scored 342 points (125-217) and could play a pivotal role in shaping the Blackhawks' new offensive core.
