An insider has listed three potential destinations for the goaltender Carter Hart in a new report as a signing is underway.

Carter Hart will be eligible to sign a contract on October 1st after missing a year and a half due to the Team Canada 2018 WJC trial.
Although most teams are expected to stay away from the five players involved, some teams seem ready to overlook the whole controversy and show interest in Hart.
Chris Johnston confirmed the news:

At Least Three Teams Reached Out To Carter Hart

Pagnotta stated that among the five players involved in the controversy, Hart is the one who got the most interest from NHL teams.
He revealed that the Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Philadelphia Flyers, who drafted him 48th overall in 2016, all showed interest.
The insider also believes Hart will sign a short-term deal.
In his own words:
"Goalie Carter Hart has generated the most interest, with the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins among the clubs that have reached out. I expect a short-term deal for the 27-year-old." - David Pagnotta
In addition to a short-term deal, the goalie is likely to get a salary nearing the league's minimum wage, although it could be slightly over if many teams want him.
Among those three teams, the Penguins are the ones who could benefit from adding a top goalie. If they can get him, Sidney Crosby and the rest of the core could have a real shot at going back to the playoffs.
As for the Flyers, they will count on Samuel Ersson and their new addition, Dan Vladar, entering the season.
The Canes could also benefit from signing Hart, with Frederik Andersen getting older and Pyotr Kochetkov's inconsistency on the ice.
In 227 NHL games, the 27-year-old goaltender won 96 games, had six shutouts, with a 2.94 GAA and a .906 SV%.
