Connor Bedard, Kyle Davidson, and the Chicago Steel will have plenty in common soon enough, as the team has made a major announcement regarding the future of the Fifth Third Arena, the home of the USHL franchise.

Danny Wirtz and the Wirtz Corporation became owners of the USHL Junior Hockey Franchise in 2023.
«We are thrilled to bring the Chicago Steel home to the city of Chicago,» Blackhawks chairman Danny Wirtz said in the team statement. «Players will have access to the top-tier resources they need to train, compete and to win championships. Steel fans will gain premium experiences to enjoy at all home games, starting in its 2026-27 season»

Now, the Steel are joining the Blackhawks in getting a major upgrade, just not on the roster in a sense.
The team will now occupy the Fifth Third Arena, which is used by the Blackhawks as a practice facility currently.
The Wirtz envision an expansion of the arena, and bringing the community and the sport of hockey that much closer, with more amenities and features.
Joining the Steel, will be a permanent home for the Blackhawks Hall of Fame in the Centennial Hall, as pictured above. The Hall of Fame, which will be opened during the 2025-2026 season, will be open to visitors year-round.
«will be the permanent physical home to the recently-announced Blackhawks Hall of Fame. Opening during the team's Centennial celebration in 2025-26, this interactive exhibit showcases the franchise's legacy through historic displays that connect fans of all ages with the team's story.»

While the owners haven't forgotten about quenching fans' thirsts, as Rocky's Bar will include a lounge and patio for those who want to relax and enjoy the outdoors while taking in hockey games during the day or night.
Construction for the expansion of the Blackhawks training facility will be completed in January, 2026.
