Up until Connor Bedard's jaw fracture in December due to a hit from Brendan Smith, the first year of his NHL career had been successful.

However, even when he isn't on the ice for the Chicago Blackhawks, we should still be awestruck by Bedard because he has all the tools to be the best in the league.

Two games into his NHL career, he has clocked a shot speed of 82.77 miles per hour against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also had a shot clocked in November 4th,2003 at 86.5 MPH.
So Chris Vosters, who broadcasts the team's games, was able to catch the deadly release live.
Given the boards were right there, Vosters was glad that some protection was between him and the puck.
Who's keeping track of Bedard's shot speed now?
Regardless, Bedard is likely to return in February and has played 39 games in the NHL, posting 33 points (15 goals and 18 assists) this season.
