The Boston Bruins have officially re-signed a depth defenseman.

GM Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins have re-signed former Blackhawks defenseman, Ian Mitchell today.
The deal pays Mitchell $775K AAV, a league minimum deal, for one year is a two-way contract, meaning it pays the same at the AHL and NHL level.

The #NHLBruins have signed Ian Mitchell to a one-year, two-way extension with a cap hit of $775,000.
The Boston Bruins received Ian Mitchell and Alex Regula in return from the trade which sent Nick Foligno and Taylor Hall to the Blackhawks.
Mitchell played 13 games in the NHL in 2023-2024, which saw him post 2 points, while he spent the majority of the season in the AHL with Providence.
Mitchell was a 2017 2nd-round draft selection by the Blackhawks, 57th overall.
